FAITH AND HOPE

Faith Hope

Faith is a stunning young Siamese X and Hope, her sister, is a chunky tabby.

They both have a compromised immune system which means they may have a shortened life span (maybe 10- 12 years).

The illness is confined to cats only so they can live with dogs, birds, people etc.

Cat Rescue will pay for any vet bills and will help with an outside cat run if requested. They cannot be allowed free access to the garden as there is a very slight chance they could pass the disease onto other cats.

They are super, pretty, loving, playful cats and we would love them to have their "own" humans to love.

If interested please tel 01253 720357.

JOIN THE PEANUT APPEAL

We are sad to have to say that our very special little girl, Peanut, died on 28th June. She charmed eveyone who met her and is sorely missed.

We have decided to keep the Peanut Fund going in her memory, for other cats that may need specialist medical help. Read her full story here and then if you feel that you want to send a donation we would be so grateful.

If you want more information, please telephone Christine on 01253 720357, or email her at catrescue2007@btinternet.com

Welcome to Cat Rescue

Thank you for visiting our Cat Rescue website today Sunday, 20th May.

Cat Rescue takes care of homeless distressed cats and tries to place them with people for cat adoption or cat fostering. Some cats cannot be fostered or adopted so Cat Rescue gives them a home at the cattery and seeks sponsorship to help provide funds for their long-term care.

WHEEL APPEAL !

dog in wheeled harness charlie in his harness

Our Charlie had sadly broken the wheels of his special wheelchair. This means that he can't get about like he so enjoys. The picture of the dog's wheelchair next to Charlie is similar to what Charlies new one will be like.

We want to replace these for him but it is a costly affair. Could we appeal to our supporters and friends to help with the financial cost? No amount is too small to get him back on track!

If you are able to donate you can do so by clicking on the Donate button on the Cat Rescue ‘Make a Donation’ page: http://catrescuefylde.co.uk/howto-donate/

When you are on the Paypal web page please click on the ‘special instructions’ link then state that the donation is for ‘Charlie's Wheel Appeal’.

If you wish to donate by cheque please make your cheque payable to Cat Rescue (Blackpool, Wyre & Fylde) and post to Cat Rescue, PO Box 169, Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, FY8 4WE and write ‘Charlie's Wheel Appeal’ on the back.

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the amount of money Cat Rescue receives by completing a Gift Aid declaration on the ‘Make a donation’page or by completing one from Cat Rescue and returning it to us at the PO address above.

Cat Rescue is a registered charity and relies on membership subscriptions, donations, collections, and fundraising events to meet its costs. We also occasionally have donated goods for sale direct on our Merchandise page. Cat Rescue does not have any paid staff and relies completely on its wonderful volunteers to carry out its work. As a result, every penny raised is spent on the cats.

You can read about the Whys, Whens and Hows of Cat Rescue on our About Us page. We are pleased with our achievements, sad when we hear one of our cat family has passed over the Rainbow Bridge and buoyed up again with the progress of the Kittens we help survive and prosper.

Charlie, our very special cat, has his own column, Charlie's Chatter, which will give you a Cat Rescue perspective from one of our permanent residents.

Our Members have their own place on the website to publish anecdotes, jokes, pictures, appeals or whatever else they feel might be interesting to others, or might elicit help or advice. Membership is only £5 a year! If you want to post details of your missing cat you may do so on the Members Chit Chat page, provided you have first taken out a standing order for Cat Rescue membership.

We give details of forthcoming Events at which we would love to meet you and have a chat. Come and see us and take your opportunity to spin our Wheel of Chance

If you would like to know more about Cat Rescue, or become a Volunteer or a Member, or make a Donation or see the cats with a view to adoption, fostering or sponsorship or … for whatever reason … you can use our contact page to get in touch
