Volunteers
There are many other ways people help Cat Rescue. Most activitites are in our locality, around the Fylde coast and near Blackpool. These include:
- Helping at car boot sales
- Collecting goods to sell at car boot sales
- Placing collection boxes in shops and other local businesses
- Fund raising in your own home on our behalf
- Trips to the vets with cats and kittens
- Collecting prospective new owners who don't have transport and bringing them to view the cats
- Helping at the cattery

The finishing line for Charlie's Wheelie Walk!

A group of volunteers at the Summer 100 Club draw
Cat lovers call and see the animals on a warm sunny day and think how lovely it would be to help with the cats. Well…it's not quite such good fun on a freezing cold wet morning.
Volunteers need to be organised, fairly fit, methodical and obviously not frightened of cats!
Morning sessions (8:00-8:30am start) take the longest as it seems every cat uses their loo overnight! We also clean each pen in the morning. Each cat is fed and then petted if we have time.
Evening sessions start at 3:30-4:00pm in winter and 5:00-6:00pm onwards in the summer. They can be much quicker as it is a tidy up session, feed and change litter trays if they have been used.
If this hasn't put you off and you live near enough to St Annes to be able to help do please telephone us on 01253 720357 or email us using our Contact form
